Japanese News

Our year 10 Japanese class was fortunate enough to be given a chance to hold a Zoom meet-and-greet session with a lesson from our sister school Gojo High School in Nara, Japan.

We were given one half of our double to prepare and create a  short speech in Japanese introducing ourselves and our hobbies.

Then for the fun part,  getting on Zoom with the students in Japan. This opportunity provided a fun chance to see what life is like on the other side of the world and create friends along the way.

We got on and introduced ourselves to our pre-established penpals. We got to listen as they did the same back. The class was full of laughter and fun.

Ultimately, participating in this Zoom was an absolute pleasure, and we are excited about our next meet-up!

Year 7 students were required to research and make their own origami (おりがみ) within one period of Japanese at the end of Term 2. We think they did an amazing job!
