This will be our first social event for a couple of years, so the P & F are very excited to be hosting a dinner (RSL) and movie night (Stadium 4). The movie is 'Where the Crawdads Sing', rated M, so not suitable for children. The book was amazing, so can't wait to see the movie.
Dinner: If you can make it to dinner, please let Michelle know by next Thursday 28th July, via text (0417 325 304) so numbers can be confirmed. Dinner can be paid at the venue. The movie is payable via CDFpay. Come to one or both. We'd love to see you. RSVP for dinner by

State Cross Country Championships - Yarra Glen
Last Thursday, 14th July, Rachel Denbrok and Zara Gannon competed in the State Cross-Country Championships which this year were held at Yarra Glen Race Course. The conditions at the course were very wet and muddy following the heavy rain throughout the week. It was a great effort by the girls to qualify for these championships and although not successful in gaining a place in the race, the school appreciates their efforts and the work they put in to achieve this level of competition. Well done Rachel and Zara!
Gymnastic Presentations
Next week will be the last gymnastic lesson for this year and the students from grades three to six will be presenting their routines on rings, floor, beam and bars. Parents are most welcome and can view these presentations from the stage in the gym. Entry to the stage is via Ogilvy Street Car Park through the gate (will be open) The side door is near the tanks.
Pre-COVID, a gymnastics team was selected to compete in Melbourne but unfortunately this year this will not be possible. We are committed to division athletics and a basketball tournament which are occurring at the same time and we would not be able to put the necessary preparation into all the sports if we also undertook gymnastics. I would like to thank the Leongatha Gym Club and in particular Miranda Wilson for their input to the program which is always greatly appreciated.
Please find the times for your child's grade below. Presentations will take place in their normal PE lesson in the gym. Please adhere to all the normal COVID regulations. If you can wear a mask, that would be great and please social distance where you can and sanitise.

I come before you, oh Lord, and drink in this moment of peace, that I may carry something of your hope, love, and joy today in my heart.
Lord, grant me tenacious winsome courage as I go through this day.
When I am tempted to give up, help me to keep going.
Grant me a cheerful spirit when things don't go my way.
