Grade 1/2

Measuring:

Last Friday 1O enjoyed using formal (a ruler) and informal (teddies, gem stones and unifix) measuring tools to find the length of thongs/flip flops! They had to go on a scavenger hunt to measure them all, including Miss O'Sullivan's real Havaianas!

Fun with Money!

We have been learning about Australian coins and notes. Students have been learning how recognise, describe and order coins according to their value. They have been looking at coin combinations (Eg. two 50 cent coins equal $1.00) and adding simple collections. We had lots of fun making our MONEY MONSTERS!

Designing a Book Fair Cover:

Grade 1 and 2's enjoyed making their own book cover design. They used their imagination to create a fiction or non-fiction cover which was entered in the book fair competition. Winners received a book fair voucher! Here are some of the wonderful creations!

Gardening:

1O spent some time in the garden on Thursday afternoon. They did some weeding, topped up wicking beds with water, visited the chickens and watered the garden.

Book Fair:

We enjoyed writing our wish lists and visiting the book fair for the first time!
