VCE SUBJECT SELECTION 

Term 3 is an exciting opportunity for many of our students to look ahead to what their plans are for 2023 and beyond. Below are details of important dates for students in the Subject Selection process. 

Year 9

Key Dates for Subject Selection Year 10–2023

During our August 4 extended Mentor Group, Year 9 students will be introduced to the Subject Selection process for 2022.  A number of high achieving students will also be invited to consider taking an accelerated pathway, selecting one Unit 1 & 2 VCE subject as part of Year 10 course of study.  These invitations will be sent to select students on August 5. 

In an attempt to better inform Year 9 students of the pathway into VCE, our Year 9 students were also invited to attend the VCE Student Expo on July 21.  This was an opportunity for our Year 9 students to glean a sense of what opportunities are available to them in 2024. 

Year 10

Key Dates for VCE Subject Selection Units 1 & 2

Just last week, students at Year 10 have had the opportunity to attend the VCE Expo and explore options available to them in VCE.  We hope that the information provided over the course of this day assisted students in their thinking and planning for next year.  In the coming weeks, we encourage all Year 10s to ask questions and initiate conversations with key staff, so that they feel confident in the choices they make for the future pathway.  We look forward to supporting them in this process.
