Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge

The 2022 Victorian Premiers’ Reading Challenge will be open on March 11th and Rangeview Primary School is a supporting school.

The Reading Challenge is open to all Victorian children from birth to Year 10 in recognition of the importance of reading for literacy development. It is not a competition; but a personal challenge for children to read a set number of books by September 2022.

Children from Prep to Year 2 are encouraged to read or ‘experience’ 30 books with their parents. (20 books are to be from the Challenge list and 10 are own choice books)

Children from Year 3 to Year 10 are challenged to read 15 books. (10 books are to be from the Challenge list and 5 are own choice books)

When children have completed books Parents/students log books on to the Challenge site using a username and password. (Older students may be able to log their own books on) Teachers are now distributing login details.
