Deutsch für die Zukunft

(German for the Future)

What a wonderful Term we have had so far in with the German room!

We welcome the Foundation students to our German program.

SCHULTÜTEN

The Foundation students had a wonderful time with their buddies last week with the presentation of their Schultüten.  Schultüten (colourfully decorated cones) are for students in their first year of primary school.  Every student in Germany receives these on their first day of school.

The Schultüten are filled with gifts for the students to help them at school. These are a great momento of their first year at school, learning German.

The Grade 5/6 buddies made these Schultüten for their Foundation buddies.  They decorated them beautifully.  The Grade 5/6‘s presented these Schultüten proudly to their Foundation buddies on Wednesday, 23rd March.

A big thankyou to all the Grade 5/6’s that made this event so special on the day and for preparing the Schultüten.

Thank you to the parents that assisted in filling the Schultüten with gifts and to Frau Sophia Kent for making the Schultüten ready for the children to decorate.

Super gemacht!

German Easter Quiz

Also, a reminder that our annual German Easter Quiz is fast approaching, so get ready to test your knowledge and be in the running for some fabulous prizes!

Students who have not yet received a quiz sheet, may visit the German room to pick up a copy.

Viel Glück! (Good luck!)

The winners will be announced at the final assembly last day of Term 1.

Should you have any queries about how to best support your child’s German language development, we would love to hear from you.
