The Darebin Council are looking to consult the community to update their Transport Strategy and the new Electric Vehicle Charging policy.
As background, the Darebin Transport Strategy was released in 2007 and Council has since been working hard to improve transport for the community. This includes achieving a significant reduction in crashes on local roads, an increase in trips made by sustainable transport, such as walking, cycling and public transport, and successful advocacy for increased state government funding for local transport projects.
Since the most recent update in 2015, there have been many changes to Council and State Government policies, and in society – like the COVID-19 pandemic and rapidly growing popularity of electric vehicles. All of this means it’s time for another refresh of the transport strategy, and to start working with our community on a new policy for electric vehicle charging in Darebin.
The Council would be very appreciative if you could fill out the quick survey. Getting a range of views on this will help the Darebin Council develop a strategy and policies that reflect the views and requirements of our community.

Kew High School is holding an Open Morning on Thursday 28 April, 2022. The day will consist of a range of tours where families may see the learning and teaching program in action.
We would love to see families from your school community attend our Open Day. It is not restricted to Year 6 families. We know that many families with younger students are carefully considering their options for secondary education and we would welcome the opportunity to share our school with them.
