In term 1 students were learning about visual literacy and the ways in which the author hooks the reader with techniques such as bold heading and sub-headings,  vectors and blurbs.

Students analysed a variety of texts and identified the features and techniques used by the author to engage the reader.

Using this new learning students created a poster on the topic of friendship.  Students included symbolism, headings and sub-headings, captions and blurbs to make their poster impactful and to ensure their message was clear.
