Principal's News

All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

Good afternoon families,

What a wonderful first week we have had as the start to Term 2.

On Monday we started with St Louis' Feast Day with a whole school mass, then Kaboom activities at Brown's Reserve and a sausage sizzle for lunch. Thank you to the PFA and Lisa Goodes for cooking 1000 sausages.

Today, we ran St Louis' Cross Country and all students from Y3-Y6 participated and it had  a carnival feel to the event. Congratulations to the top 10 students in each age group that will now go onto the District Cross Country next Friday. Thank you to all the parents who helped, we could not do it without you.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Sarah Mc Dermott who has been appointed principal of Our Lady of Fatima in Rosebud. We wish her every success as she leads her new school and becomes part of the Rosebud community.

Congratulations to Tanya Stefanec who has been acting Deputy Principal on and off for the last 18 months. Tanya will now be the Deputy Principal for Wellbeing. Tanya brings great knowledge and understanding to this role and has many wonderful leadership qualities to bring to the Deputy Principal position.

Aladdin

Auditions for the musical were completed yesterday and we have a lot of talent in the school. Congratulations to all 60 students who auditioned, they were all did an outstanding job. I look forward to working with the cast over the next 3 terms.

Winter uniform

All students are to be in full winter uniform on Monday 2 May. Shorts can be worn as long as they are navy gaberdine shorts. The new winter tops are available in the uniform shop, as the red polo shirts are no longer available. The new sport tops have sold out in the larger sizes and it will be a 6 week wait for the next batch to arrive.

ANZAC Day

A huge thank you to Tom and Celeste, our school captains, for representing St Louis at the Chelsea RSL ANZAC Day ceremony. Thank you also to their mum's for taking them to the ceremony.
