From the Principal

We would like to acknowledge the original custodians of this land

and pay our respects to the Elders past and present and emerging,

for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and hopes of Indigenous Australia.

Dear Families

Monsignor Diamond's 80th Birthday

I had the pleasurer of attending the celebration on Sunday that recognised the commitment that Monsignor Diamond had towards his mission of serving the Catholic Church.

As a Parish Priest for over 25 years his service to the St Anthony's Community was evident by the parishioners who celebrated his milestone birthday.

Happy 80th Birthday Monsignor Diamond!

Walk to School Day 20th May 2022

Our school has registered for the National Walk Safely to School Day on Friday 20 May 2022.

National Walk Safely to School Day is a community initiative that aims to raise awareness of the health, road safety, transport and environmental benefits that regular walking (especially to and from school) can provide for the long term well-being of our children.

It aims to improve the environment and our daily exercise routines. Walking to school is the perfect way to start the day by getting some exercise and fresh air, ready to start school with a clear mind.

Perhaps, park the car further back from the school and have a walk with other children and their families.

The Sports Captains will be handing out stickers to all students.

Child Safe Standards - Working With Children Check.

The Commission for Children and Young People (CCYP)

Standard 3: A code of conduct that establishes clear expectations for appropriate behaviour with children

Standard 4: Screening, supervision, training and other human resources practices that reduce the risk of child abuse by new and existing personnel

As part of the CCYP mandated requirements for all school settings parents are reminded that adults undertaking voluntary work at school must have a current Working With Children Check.  If you have a card, please provide a copy to the office if you have not already done so. A number of cards have expired during the past twelve months. Please check your card to ensure it is still current. If you have recently renewed your card please provide the office with the details.

Parents attending excursions where they have the responsibility of supervising children must also take part in an induction to the Code of Conduct for Excursions on the day of the excursion.

School Fees & Levies 2022

Families are reminded that instalment two of school fees were due to be paid by Friday, 13th May 2022.   Fee statements have been distributed.

Your sincerely
