Easter Fundraiser

Razzle Dazzle VCAL Raffle: Easter Fundraiser

As part of the Year 12 Senior VCAL Work Related course, students are required to demonstrate initiative and enterprise skills in the planning of a self-directed work-related project. To ensure that students build their confidence and employability skills this year, VCAL will be running a number of fund-raising activities to ensure that students have the opportunity to demonstrate their competency in these outcomes. Through their fund-raising efforts the students will need to develop a detailed feasibility plan for the project including aims, budget, timelines, and measurable milestones. This term 12V students decided to start their journey by undertaking an easter themed fundraising project targeted towards raising funds for underprivileged communities.

Students were quick to organise the “Razzle Dazzle VCAL Raffle” and the “VCAL Egg Nest” where staff and students were asked to guess how many eggs were in the jar.

12V students formed small groups where they competed against each other to try to sell the greatest number of tickets to the school community. The competition was fierce as students focused their attention on staff, charmed and convinced them to part with their loose change. We saw commitment and dedication to this task as groups gave up their personal time to sell tickets during recess and lunch.

All good things must come to an end and just before students were dismissed at Athletics Day, the “Razzle Dazzle VCAL Raffle” was drawn. 12V started out by setting a goal to sell 120 raffle tickets. We are so pleased to announce that we overshot this and sold a staggering 614 tickets!

WE SUCCESSFULLY RAISED $360.25

THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF AND STUDENTS THAT SUPPORTED US.

The proceeds of the fundraiser will be donated to a charity chosen by the student’s next term.

Congratulations to Ms Spence who took home the “VCAL Egg Nest”.

75 people tried their luck with guessing how many eggs were in the jar, Ms Spence was spot on with her guess of 137 eggs.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that took part and supported our fundraising efforts this term.

Well done to 12V for their commitment, determination, and persistence with this activity. I am incredibly proud of your efforts. Keep up the great work!
