RESPECTFUL RELATIONSHIPS
A great relationship is about two things. First, appreciate the similarities, second, respect the differences! Sounds simple but is it? "I'm too busy" is a good excuse for not taking the time to appreciate others, put yourself in their shoes and empathise with those around us.
In this busy world it is easy to become self involved and forget those around you and what they might be experiencing. To tackle this issue head on we have created a new collection of books which have been carefully selected to help you understand the differences in all of us. It includes true stories of hardship and triumph, racism and inclusion, what it means to be strong and most importantly 'what does being normal' even mean in 2018.
There are also fiction books that talk about freedom, hatred, prejudice and growing up differently .
I hope you will find something to read to open your mind to the plight and success of others, it will be a journey worth reading!
Look out for the display in the library and open your mind.
A good thing to remember: Be the type of person you would like to meet. Simple.
