Debating

Recongition of Long Service in Debating
Congratulations to Mrs Mandy Plumridge who was recognised for her long service to the Debating Association of Victoria (DAV) on Monday 17th October. Mrs Plumridge has been a Debating Co-ordinator at Wantirna College and an Adjudicator and Judge with DAV for 15 years.
She is pictured here holding the certificate she received at a special ceremony that also recognised the achievements of students across Victoria in debating.
The event was held at Methodist Ladies’ College in Kew and began with a speech about the importance of empathetic listening from Bernard Teague, Judge and Chair of the Black Saturday Fires Royal Commission. Mrs Plumridge has been an exemplary Debating Co-ordinator at the school and she will be very much missed next year while she is on family leave.
