Introducing our new reward system…Henry's Heroes

We have revamped our school reward system this year from Vivo to a more cost and time effective school run program. The system will include the following incentives and acknowledgements for students who are showcasing their personal best and providing a positive contribution to our high quality school culture.

Free and Frequents 

Students will be given raffle tickets to encourage them and recognise when they meet expectations e.g bringing equipment/having it out and prepared, completing work, helping out in the classroom.

Students will have options for how they use their tickets: 

1. Place into a box for their year group. A ticket will be drawn at year assemblies and the winning student will receive a $5 canteen voucher.
2. Students can collect 10 raffle tickets to give to Miss Fitzgerald to buy the bell.
3. Students can give a ticket to the Head Teacher's on bus duty to board the bus first.
4. Please suggest any other ideas for how they could be effectively used.

Once used, the tickets will be collected to use for artworks to be displayed at school and research will be conducted to find a way to effectively recycle them. 

Sentral Awards

Teachers will make a positive entry on Sentral acknowledging students who have achieved highly, been consistently well behaved, assisted in significant extra-curricular roles, etc. These can be seen by parents and students through the Sentral portal.

These entries will be used to continue the celebration assembly Top 5 awards with cheer squads. The winner for each group will receive a $10 voucher. 

End of year reward excursions 

Due to popular demand, each year group will once again have an end of year reward excursion. Invitation will be extended to all students, however, students will be excluded if they have received a certain amount of negative Sentral entries or suspensions (this amount is to be determined as soon as possible after consultation with various stakeholders).

Feedback is encouraged to ensure we implement the best possible system, so please speak to Year Advisers or the Deputies if you have any suggestions.
