Boarding

A busload of boarders headed off for a day trip to The Great Ocean Road on Sunday. A very big thank you to Jason and Melanie Spaull who kindly allowed the group to visit their Chocolate Factory. Everyone had an amazing time and the travelers were kind enough to bring some chocolate back for me. Gorge Chocolate is now by far my favorite, which is saying something considering I have a Swiss wife. The group also visited the 12 Apostles before heading back to Hamilton. A big thanks to Gail for driving the bus and Leonie and Wendy Hu who also attended as support staff. Hopefully we can make this trip an annual event - I’m already looking forward to next year.

The whole boarding community would like to wish Bel Michelmore and Ally Gray the best of luck as they head to Perth to represent Victoria in National Polocrosse. These girls are tremendous athletes and I hope they have an amazing time and enjoy the experience. A national title would be the icing on the cake.

I also wish the large number of boarders playing in the Men’s and Women’s A Grade grand finals on Friday night good luck. There will be a pumped up and rowdy group of boarders attending in support. Tayla Kennedy and Ayleish Beaty also have a netball grand final this weekend playing for Lake Bolac and we wish the girls the best of luck.
