Secondary Swimming Carnival
On Friday 28th February, the high school students had their annual swimming sports carnival. Although the weather wasn’t the best, lots of students participated in the different activities throughout the day. Even those who didn’t get in the pool, dressed up in their house colours to show support.
The competition was tight with only 5 points between some houses going into relays, as everyone was giving it their best. Records were broken by a few students, and many other students came close.
Kulnine (Green team) were the lucky winners and took out the trophy. It was a fabulous day so well done to all those who participated. Big thanks to tall Hill and little Smith for their organisation and massive efforts, along with all the other teachers who made the day amazing.

Immunisations
Tomorrow morning the Year 7 and Year 10 students will be having their immunisations.
Year 8 Surf Camp
The Year 8 surf camp leaves in a week and a bit. A reminder to parents that at least half the camp fees need to be paid before students can attend. Also any previous camps that have not been paid for Year 8 students or their family members will need to be paid before students can attend.
This needs to be fixed up at the office prior to Thursday 12 March please.
Year 7 Grampians Camp
Year 7 Campers will be leaving at 7am Tuesday March 10. Students need to be at the school bus shelter no later than 6.45am
Families are reminded to bring students medication clearly labelled to give to Mr Morgan prior to departure.
Asthma Puffers and Spacers
E. Smith
Could all students who need an asthma puffer and spacer please make sure they have one at school. We have noticed that students often do not have their puffers. With the constant change in weather they are requiring them more often especially when participating in PE.
Mathematics News
Duane Ebbels - Mathematics Coordinator
Many mathematics teachers have relayed concerns to me that some students do not have a calculator. A calculator is required for all students from Year 7-10. Students will not be able to complete all the necessary coursework without one. Calculators are available at the school main office for $20.
Arena Jackets
New orders in almost every size have arrived. If you have been waiting to purchase a school uniform jacket the cost is $80.
Doctors in Secondary Schools Program Has Reopened.
The program is available for all secondary students to access free (bulk-billed) confidential health care at school. This is a fantastic service which students can access for any of their health care needs including asthma/anaphylaxis plans, immunisations, mental health care and any other medical concerns no matter how big or small.
The rooms will be open every Wednesday during the school term from 9am–1pm. Students can make appointments by contacting Yvonne in the general office or they can ask a teacher or wellbeing staff member to make the appointment for them – the only details required to make an appointment will be the student’s name and date of birth.
Parents are welcome to attend appointments with students if the student wishes.
