Keeping in contact with email

The Year 3/4s have been demonstrating their Gmail skills by sending me emails in which they share the best and hardest things that they have been doing over the last week.

Enjoy reading some of their lovely replies.

BEST THINGS I’VE DONE IN THE LAST WEEK…

  • Going for walks, because I get some fresh air. Aiden
  • Playing PS4 because when I finish my homework I get it as a reward. Jordan
  • PLAYING CRICKET!  Because I am batting and bowling very well. Neev
  • Learning brand new stuff. Thomas
  • Getting a Nintendo Switch because there are fun games. Ethan
  • Bouncing on the trampoline. Fiona
  • Exercises because it is fun and I like it. Tristan
  • Reading in my room for nearly an hour and a half. Because I never get time to read for that long. Tess
  • Playing with my brother. Banjo
  • The Olympics in the backyard. The things were egg and spoon race, 10 laps of the backyard, drawing, spelling, basketball and long jump. I won and my prize was a donut. Rocco
  • Integrated studies because we have been learning about life cycles. I liked it because it was about science and nature. Cole
  • Playing Uno. It is the best because it makes me feel happy. Samuel
  • Participating in an online dance competition. It was the best because I got to see my friends from dancing and I got fourth place in two types of dances. Sasha
  • Playing cool maths because it is fun doing maths games. Hamilton
  • I made puffs and cutlets with my sister and brother. We had lots of fun making it and it was yummy. Seraphina
  • Sleeping in a tent out the backyard. We got to cook some marshmallows in a fire pit. It was so fun. Yiani
  • Making a cup of coffee for Mum. Golden
  • PE when we did Netball. It was the best because I love doing netball and we went to the park to have a little match on the GESAC oval! Eugenia
  • Playing with the dog. Siena
  • Maths because it is easy to do addition and subtraction. Jiseung
  • Learning some new soccer skills. Leandro

BEST AND HARD ALL IN ONE:

  • The best thing I have done in the past week is fix my bike, we got a new chain for it. The hardest thing that I’ve done this week is fix my bike because we had to buy a new chain and measure it then put it on. Tommy T
  • The first day of home schooling because nothing worked. Then we worked it out and now it's good. Rocco
  • I spent 2 years trying to get the Volt bike in a video game and now I have finally succeeded getting it, but it was so useful in this game. It made me so HAPPY!  My hardest thing to do was getting the Volt bike because it took me 2 years and I finally got it (it is the best vehicle in the whole entire game). Sebastian

HARDEST THING I’VE DONE IN THE LAST WEEK

I’ve deliberately left these anonymous!

  • It can be tricky to learn times tables. (Times tables showed up in quite a few of  the children's  replies)
  • Math homework because it is not really my thing.
  • Typing. I type too slowly
  • Doing my times tables when skipping because it is hard to do two things at once.
  • School work. Because I couldn't concentrate.
  • Homework. It is my worst nightmare. I would prefer to play.
  • Not being at school and missing my friends.
  • Not to eat all the Easter eggs. It was so tempting.
  • 6 km bike race with Dad.
  • Adjusting to home school.

FAVOURITE MEALS

The students also shared their favourite meals. Here are some that will make you feel hungry. Yum!

  • Homemade raspberry and choc chip muffins
  • Chicken curry super-hot
  • Mum's homemade chicken schnitzel
  • Risotto
  • Butter chicken
  • Charcoal chicken, Turkish bread and a Greek salad
  • Mussels with tiger bread, potato gems and chicken patties
  • Banana stuffed with choc chips and mini marshmallows! We put it in the oven and after dinner we ate it. It was warm and mushy and the marshmallows were crunchy, the choc chips were gooey and melted in your mouth!
  • Gelato
  • Tacos because I love the meat in it and the guacamole, the cheese, sour cream and cucumber with it (it’s delicious)
  • Pizza on Fridays. I have cheese and sometimes ham
