School Council
Wominjeka TPS!
In this unique time our new TPS School Council for 2020 has met for the first time, but with all of us in our homes, meeting online.
The SC team for 2020 are:

Matthias Lanz, Treasurer, Comms Team
Mel Del Monaco, Social Team, Comms Team, OSHC
Yasmin Ash, Social Team, Education Policy
Not surprisingly this meeting was a bit different to previous meetings, but we were united in wanting to support TPS staff, students and community through these difficult times, during remote learning, and ensuring the ultimate return to school is safe for everyone. Reconnecting our amazing community is also a priority.
On the community page is news of our new school chickens, and we're asking everyone to suggest names for them.
A big Ngoon Godgin (thank you) to the retiring school councillors from 2019: Bridgid Cowling, Carol McConville, Shara Graham, Lee Couch, Tali White, and the amazing Finley Francois. Bridgid and Carol continue to contribute to TPS from the sidelines, Shara continues to co-run MALPA at TPS, Aunty Lee brings wonderful mindfulness through WYAPA, and Tali continues as an awesome teacher.
Having seen at close hand how much Fin has done for TPS during his time on school council and continues to do, he really deserves a special huge Ngoon Godgin! Huge smiley shoes to fill.
TPS staff have been adapting to a whole new way of teaching and working. We applaud their continuing efforts at adapting, educating, and ensuring wellbeing. If you have any feedback to give, please keep it constructive, and direct it straight to TPS staff and leadership. Good communication is more important than ever.

We welcome items from parents and carers about issues that fall within the objectives and functions of council. Parents and carers are also welcome to attend meetings, please let us know if you intend on attending.
