John XXIII College students collaborate with WA artists

The College is excited to commission artists to create various works for the new College entrance and library. The workshops are an important learning tool for Year 11 students, who get to meet professional artists, explore ideas together, then watch the collaborative artworks come to life on their school grounds. Artist Kyle Hughes-Odgers will be creating a ‘student life’ mural on an interior wall of our newly refurbished library. Meanwhile, Safehaven Studios will be creating an entry sculpture that communicates the college’s origin and story. The workshops form part of a significant student engagement process that informs TRCB’s design for the College, with Year 11s helping to create a space they’ll get to enjoy in their final year of school. We look forward to seeing the installed artworks!

Wellbeing program

As part of the College Wellbeing program students from Year 7 and Year 11 have had opportunities to 'buddy' up to get to know each other. The last wellbeing day before Year 11s finish for the year involved volleyball, netball, soccer, dodge and basketball.
