Year 7 News

Vermont Secondary College

It’s been a busy time at Vermont Secondary College since our last newsletter article and the Year 7 cohort have been participating in a number of events such as:

  • On Wednesday last week we saw a high number of Year 7 students participate in the Vocal Soiree at the Vermont Secondary College Music Centre.
  • Vision Art Exhibition
  • All Schools Track and Field Events
  • Year 7 Boys and Mixed Cricket EMR Competitions.

Meanwhile, in the classroom, students have been participating in CPR workshops in Health, completing Literacy Circle tasks in English, coding with Spheros in Digital Tech and so much more!

Finally, to top it all off we have had some splendid weather this week to compliment our Science Excursion to the Melbourne Zoo where students completed research as part of their Classification and Ecology Unit. The students were complimented on their conduct during the day and were excellent ambassadors for our college.

Transition to 2023 Classes

Please note that our Year 7 classes will commence the 2023 academic year and engage with the Year 8 curriculum on Monday, November 28th. The Transition program will run for two weeks and is part of the overall school program which students will experience during their time at Vermont Secondary College  as they progress through the school years.

In preparation for this Friday, November 25th will be a Staff Planning Day (Pupil Free Day).
