5Ds participation in the World Peace Concert

Our 5D stdudents participated in the World Peace Concert, organized by Kawachinagano Media Centre in Osaka, Japan on Wednesday 16th November.

They had been practicing a Japanese song called ‘Paprika’ with the dance for this occasion. All students performed extremely well!! Well done, 5D! It was a peaceful and fun opportunity to exchange our messages for world peace and performances with children from three other countries, Japan, Philippines and Taiwan.

The following is the write up from Ariella, Louis and Riham.

On the 16th of November 2022, 5D performed in the World Peace Concert online. There were 5 countries involved with this concert including Japan, Australia, Philippines, Taiwan and Indonesia, but unfortunately Indonesia was not able to make it due to students’ illness.

Japan had 2 separate performances. The first performance was a song. They sang it beautifully and they all were in synch. The second performance was involving musical instruments being played by a different group of people. That was also very beautiful to the ears.

The Philippines performance was just immaculate. It was well edited, included interesting instruments and had breath-taking music that was accompanied by amazing dancers. It was a great addition to the World Peace Concert.

5D’s Paprika performance was filled with laughter, happiness and gleeful dancing that went hand in hand with enjoyable singing. It was a remarkable inclusion to the day.

So far, all the performances were of the best quality, but the performance that caught my eye (or shall I say, ears) was Taiwan’s performance. They have worked hard for their performance, and they were in sync, the whole way through. Their teacher played the cello remarkably well, and the students played their instruments with incredible care and skill. Their performance put us all in a trance, for their symphony of beautiful sounds was not a failure, it was a tremendous success!

As we should all know, all the performances were well planned, and greatly performed. It was a huge pleasure to watch the different countries perform from all around the world. It was a great opportunity to wish the world peace, and we all tried our best.
