Literature

The Year 10 Literature students spent their final lesson learning how to sew together a poppet just like the characters in the play Crucible by Arthur Miller. After studying the play, the students wanted to learn how to use a needle and thread to create their own poppets. Each student sewed on a ‘well-wish’ for true love, good luck, or hope for their dreams to come through. For some students this was their first time learning how to thread a needle, sew fabric together or even sew on buttons. The students thoroughly enjoyed their hands on task but did complain there wasn’t time!”
