 Prep 100 Days of School

This week our Prep students celebrated 100 Days of School, with approximately half of those days being onsite and half where they have been learning from home. Whilst their first year of school was not how the students would have expected it to be, the teachers are so proud of their attitude, resilience and learning.

The students still had the chance to celebrate their first 100 Days of School with party bags, a special Google Meet and some videos posted on the home learning website of everything they have achieved this year. Their learning this week has been all around the number 100.  A highlight of my week was seeing the students dressed up in their party clothes or as a 100-year-old.

Parent – Teacher Meetings

Next week, parents will have a chance to book a virtual meeting with teachers through Compass. The main focus of the Term Three Parent Meetings will be on student wellbeing and re-entry to school for Term Four. These meetings are optional for parents.

These will be different to the ‘Three-way Conference’ interviews that generally take place in Term Two. There will be no reflection of student learning or structured sharing; instead the focus will be on debriefing at the end of the remote learning period and setting up processes to ensure the student can transition smoothly back to on-site learning in Term 4.

More information on these meetings will come out via Compass next week so please make sure you check your Compass newsfeed.
