The Arts

What an absolute pleasure to have Wyniss joining us for a live-streamed performance on Thursday. If you missed the live performance, the recording is available to watch here.
Uncle Dujan, Uncle Smiler, Aunty Norah and Aunty Jeanette exuded warmth and joy and communicated many stories and aspects of their culture in such a fun and interesting way.
I loved seeing all the comments from students and staff in the live-stream chat.
More info and learning experiences about Wyniss are available through the Musica Viva Wyniss Student Learning Journey (in ‘The Arts’ Google Classrooms) or https://www.musicavivainschools.com.au/auth/login#classroom password: wyniss
Many thanks to Musica Viva and The Cass Foundation (who provided Professional Learning for teachers and heavily subsidised the performance fee) and to the College for financing the remainder of the fee so it could be free to view.
It was very interesting for me to see ‘behind the scenes’ for the live-stream which was being made in Zoom Webinar with the performers, a producer and a tech assistant. The stream went out with an eight second delay to Vimeo.
Wyniss usually perform in person as an incursion so it was fabulous to see how they had quickly adapted to an online format.
