Specialist Home Learning: 

Week Beginning September 7

During Home Learning for Term 3, Specialist subjects have again been timetabled once a week for 25 minute blocks. All tasks this time will be presented in a ‘menu-board’ format. There will be four tasks for each Specialist area and pupils will be asked to complete one task from each specialist subject over each week.

Physical Education 

In P.E this week, some of the highlights are:

Preps to Grade 2 -Use the 'Direction Spinner' to complete these locomotion activities;                                         Watch the video to get started with skipping.

Grades 3 and 4 - Learn how to move in triple jump with these locomotion activities; Click                                    on the video links to learn some new skipping tricks.

Grades 5 and 6 - Improve your agility with these locomotion games; Practice your                                                  skipping tricks- choose from beginner, intermediate or more challenging                                  tricks!

LOTE - Italian

In Italian this week, some of the highlights are:

Preps to Grade 2 -  Moviamo e contiamo (Let's move and count)-

                                  Learn to count in Italian through movement with Signora; Learn to                                               introduce yourself with Dino the Dinosaur.

Grades 3 and 4- Use the template to draw and write a timeline of ‘la tua giornata’ (your                                        day); Learn and practise greetings with the ‘Molto bene’ Italian app.

Visual Arts

In Art this week, some of the highlights are:

Preps to Grade 2 - Make a flower collage in the 'These flowers are for you' activity -                                              collage; Have a go at drawinglace and patterns in this NGV activity.

Grades 3 and 4- Have a go at mindfulness drawing in this 'Zentangles' activity;  Print off                                      the template to draw and design your own pot with the Hermannsburg                                      potters.

Grades 5 and 6- Paint and draw what you see with the Japanese art of Hirameki; Make                                        your very own egg carton animal artwork.

Performing Arts

In Performing Arts this week, some of the highlights are:

Preps to Grade 2- Learn the rhythms of Kaboom Bucket Drumming, then try performing to                                   music; Take part in the ‘Baby Shark Dance Battle’. Learn the moves and                                    see if you can challenge a family member to a dance-off! 

Grades 3 and 4- Choose your level and have a go at performing body percussion to pop                                      songs; Get your dance on and learn the moves to MC Hammer’s ‘You                                          Can’t Touch This’.

Grades 5 and 6- Choose a song and a level, then learn the rhythm patterns in 'Bucket                                          Drumming'; Learn some 'Circus Skills' and try out plastic bag balancing,                                    toothbrush spinning and more!
