Term 3+4 Afterschool Netball

Registrations open!!

 

Buninyong Primary School will again be entering team/s into the Afterschool Netball Competition at Llanberris Netball Stadium.  These will be run on Tuesday nights (times as per competition draw) in Term 3+4, starting 23 July. Finals will be run for Grade 5/6 teams and round robin for Grade 3/4 this season, with the Grand Finals expected on 29 October, 2019.

 

Grade 3-6 students interested in joining a team will need to register via this form before 27 June, 2019.  Please note that we will endeavour to include all interested students.  Teams will be decided by Narelle Sullivan and Claire Morris and will be based around the age groups of Grade 3/4 and Grade 5/6 in conjunction with ability.

 

The cost is estimated to be around $75 (+ VNA if required) and will need to be paid before 16 July, 2019.  An increase from Term 2 is due to the duration of the new season. Uniform will be the red school top and black skirt/shorts/trackies. Please note that own transport to and from games will be required each week. This is not a staffed event.

 

We will be looking for interested parents to coach and score each week.  Obviously it would be great to have the same person, however a roster will be set up in the event if this is not possible.  Request for assistance will be sent out once teams have been finalised.  Again, this is not a staffed event and the teams rely solely on parental support and assistance.

Lunchtime Clinics

 We have had some terrific sports action happening in the gym at lunchtime over the last six weeks thanks to Sporting Schools.  Well done to all the students who were involved in the NRL, Badminton and Softball clinics.

 There is one remaining badminton clinic this week and any Grade 3-4 student is welcome to attend.

P.E. Shoes

A reminder that students need to have clean, dry sports shoes for P.E.  We recommend bringing a spare pair to school to ensure maximum participation in class, particularly in Term 2+3 when the weather is a bit wetter.  To find out when your child has P.E., please check your Compass portal.
