Years 5/6 and 1/2B will need to wear PE uniform on Tuesday 28th May.
Prep, Years 1/2C and 1/2H and Years 3/4 will need to wear PE uniform on Thursday 30th May.
Family Contact Details
Today the eldest child in each family was given a print out of the family contact details we have on our office system. It is vital that we have the correct phone numbers for emergency contact as well as the correct home address and email addresses for communication purposes.
Please check the contact details we have sent you today and if all information is correct sign the form and return to the classroom teachers by next Wednesday 29th May.
Please indicate any changes to details that we need to update and also return the form to the classroom teachers by next Wednesday 29th May.
School Car Park and Parking in Ormond Road
We have been receiving complaints from some of our Ormond Road neighbours that parents are parking their cars across driveways. Please take care to park your car correctly so as not to cause inconvenience to others.
Some parents are also driving too fast when entering and exiting the school driveway and car park. Please ensure that you drive slowly (walking pace) to ensure the safety of all in our community.
Annual Report to the School Community 2018
As is mandated by the Federal Government, all schools must make public information regarding ‘school performance’ to the wider community. This is usually communicated through the school’s Annual Report.
For those interested, our Annual Report to the School Community (for the 2018 school year) is now available on our website at:
https://www.cckingsville.catholic.edu.au/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/2018-Annual-Report-final.pdf
The Corpus Christi Annual Report to the Community outlines our achievements over the year in relation to our School Improvement Framework and Annual Action Plan. It provides families with detailed information as to our ‘performance’ and in relation to the many and varied activities, programs and opportunities that ‘add value’ to our school.
School Uniform
All children should now be wearing the full winter uniform on the days they do not have PE. We encourage all the children to wear their uniform with pride.
First Communion Workshop
A reminder for families whose children will be receiving the Sacrament of the Eucharist on Sunday 23rd June. There is a First Communion workshop for the children to attend at 7:00 pm on Wednesday 29th May in the Year 3/4 Community.
School Closure Day - Staff Professional Learning Day
A reminder that the school will be closed on Tuesday 4th June. Staff will be involved in professional learning as part of the School Improvement Framework: External Review Process. Children do not attend school on this day.
Library Update
Exciting news... finally!
Our new Library is virtually complete with just a few finishing touches to be completed by the builders in the coming weeks.
The new shelving and furniture is scheduled to be delivered next week and the removalists will return to place all our resources on the shelves the following week. So if all goes to plan we will then be able to start using the new Library!
I urgently need some offers of help to sew Library bags for our new Prep students so that they will be able to borrow books. One mum has very generously volunteered but an extra person or two to assist with sewing would be greatly appreciated.
Have a wonderful week
God bless
