News

Dear Parents and Friends

            Trinity School Prayer

Thank you for this new day.
Let us start it with hope and joy.
May the lessons we learnt yesterday help us to make good choices today.
May we continue to treat each other with care and respect.
As we follow in the footsteps of St Ignatius, may we find God in all things.
We give thanks for this wonderful world.
Amen.

I would like to take this oppotunity to thank our wonderful school community and broader community for the overwhelming support and understanding which I, and our staff, have been receiving over the past 24 hours. The news we received yesterday is truly devastating for everyone but we are a strong community who will continue to support each other and show solidarity. I am confident we will continue to be respectful and draw on our strengths. As the children ran through the gate this morning with big smiling faces, it's a reminder that we continue to be here for the children at Trinity, with valuable learning and teaching continuing to happen.

Please contact Fr Huy or myself if you need any further support around this.

Welcome to our new staff

Last week we announced the appointment of Marissa  who began in the Prep/1 this week. Marissa is really enjoyng her time at Trinity and commented  on how well behaved the students are and how welcoming the whole community have been.

This week we also welcomed Steph as a Learning Support Officer who will work across all year levels. She has began this week working with Year 5/6JC.  Steph comes from Sth West Victoria and is studying Teaching and is also a BIG Richmond Tigers fan.

Steph has loved her first couple of days at Trinity also commenting on how welcomed she has been made to feel by the staff and the children.

Clubs

We are slowly returning to some normality at school though are still very much aware of following guidelines around hygiene and social distancing with adults.

Our clubs have all begun with much enthusiam and enjoyment.

Here are our fabulous Sustainability Leaders who have re-grouped after their period of isolation. They met today to see what has been happening while they were studying from home.

Currently we are investigating high levels of water usage, so the students have been monitoring our use by recording the water meter reading at key periods during the day. A plumber has been engaged to check for leaks.

We have had heaters and airconditioners serviced to make sure they are working as efficiently as possible.

Our Gardening Team has begun to meet again. After the term holidays we will be ready to replant our garden beds. Bunnings has very generously donated all the soil for our new garden plots.

I would like to thank our Sustainability Leaders for their commitment and enthusiasm.

Last day of Term 2

It has been the most bizzare term, but all things do come to an end and so, Term 2 2020 will finish next Friday 26th June at 1:30pm. Term 3 will recommence Monday 13th July at 8:45am.

Regards

Lindy
