Home Learning

Thank you to all parents for supporting and assisting their children during Home Learning. I am sure that all families have worked hard to establish new daily routines. Some reminders:

  • When students participate in Zoom lessons with their class and teacher, they should be wearing an Aitken College shirt, House t-shirt or PE rugby top.
  • It is not appropriate for students to be eating when in a Zoom lesson.
  • All students in Zoom lessons are expected to have their video turned on.
  • If a student is unable to participate in Home Learning, therefore absent for the day, please telephone the College as usual, so that class rolls will reflect this absence.

Uniform Shop

Schooltrenz has new opening hours arrangements from Wednesday 13 May. Please see details on the website at: https://www.schooltrenz.com.au/. Fittings are by appointment with booking times online and online orders are being processed.

Cybersafety Online Training for Parents

This is a reminder about the Cybersafety training modules by Internet Safe Training; their presenter, Brett Lee, has spoken to our Secondary students during the past few years. There are modules to suit parents of all ages of children, from Prep School to Senior School. Go to http://learn.internetsafetraining.com and use access code aitkencllge. Feedback from parents has been that these are very worthwhile.

Online Chapel

Our Community Chaplain, Rev. Jim Vaughn, and Youth Chaplain, Miss Jessica Healey, have been working hard to prepare online Chapel for Primary and Secondary students. These are set as a task for students in My Aitken each Monday. Parents are welcome to view these, too.

Mickleham Road

As the new Hillview Road intersection is nearing completion, there is a changed road alignment near the College entrance. When students return, please exercise caution and patience when approaching the College and especially when entering the turn-right lane.
