The Ickabog Illustration Competition

JK Rowling, the author of Harry Potter, has is publishing a new book for children called The Ickabog. She wrote this story a long time ago but filed it away. While being at home during lockdown she rediscovered it and has decided to share it with us all! 

JK Rowling has posted the first five chapters online and has created an illustration competition for children aged 7-12. The chosen illustration will be featured when the hard copy of the book is published.

Book Club Issue 4 is running and brochures are back!

Much like last issue, all orders must be submitted online via the LOOP website or app. 

No cash orders will be accepted.

As all students are being transitioned back to school, orders will be delivered to the school after the close date of the Wednesday 10 June to ensure that the delivery arrives before the end of term. 

This eliminates the need for a delivery fee like last issue.

Find Dr Cameron, The Story Doctor, online!

For the next eight weeks (18 May – 12 July), join Dr Cameron, Author and Illustrator of the Pie Rats, Scallywags and Stroogle series, on the State Library of Queensland’s Reading Adventure Club website! Cameron will be blogging with children in an action-packed 8-weeks of drawing challenges, exclusive short grab videos and interactive blogging. He can’t wait to hear from students!
