The preps have been exploring communities and the roles people have within them. They have been considering what different community members wear to do their work and what equipment they need. 

While they are in the inquiry hall the Preps are developing their vocabulary which in turn supports them to write more complex sentences and make predictions when they are reading unfamiliar words. An example of this is the word ‘stethoscope’ that is being used when the Preps are being vets and ‘construction’ when they are on the building site.
