Richmond Institute of Sports Leadership

Applications are now open!  

Athletes aren’t the only stars in sports. 

Diploma of Sport (Sport Development) / Diploma of Leadership and Management

Working behind the scenes are skilled management professionals that make the game possible. If you’re passionate about sports and have a head for business, this could be you. Their dual diploma will give you the necessary skills to kick-start your sports career.

Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance - Sport and Fitness

This course, delivered in partnership with Aligned Leisure (a subsidiary of Richmond Football Club), focuses on fitness, physiotherapy, wellbeing and community health. You’ll study a mix of core subjects and electives, covering topics such as communication in health, legal and ethical compliance, medical terminology, fitness programming and rehabilitation support. Two work placements will give you the chance to use your skills in real-world situations. You can watch a video about this program here:

Swinburne Mid-Year Web Sessions

Swinburne is hosting a series of Mid-Year Web Sessions - four free online panel discussions addressing the issues important to students (in lieu of being able to actually go on campus).  Swinburne experts will speak on everything from what recession-proof careers look like to how to afford university right now. Sign up for one or more by browsing the register here links provided.

VTAC Year 12

Please note applications are currently closed for Current Year 12 students. At this stage, the timeline for Year 12 students will remain as scheduled, with applications opening in August. There will be a briefing for Year 12 students and parents in due course.

REMINDERS 

Year 12 - UCAT & Entry to Medicine Matrix

The organisers of UCAT have announced a final registration opportunity. Students who missed out on registering in time have from 22 May until 1 June 2020 to register. There will be a $75 late fee applied to this late booking period and will be non-refundable. 

Register at UCAT (University Clinical Aptitude Test).

Tests are available from Wednesday 1 July until Friday 31 July.

SCHOLARSHIPS

UNSW CO-OP PROGRAM

These scholarships are for the fields of Business, Science and Engineering offering industry training, leadership and professional development, networking opportunities, mentoring and financial support. This program is open to Year 12 students entering university for the first time, or those commencing university for the first time after a gap year. Candidates for scholarships are not only selected on their academic ability but also their communication skills, motivation, leadership potential and passion for their chosen field of study.

The "Good Universities Guide" Scholarship Finder is the largest and most comprehensive scholarship database in Australia. There are currently more than 3000 scholarships available to Australian students, across both the higher education and vocational sectors.
