Book Week & Book of the Year presentations
Just a reminder that Book Week is just around the corner and our dress up day is only 2 weeks away. So start planning your costume today. Of course along with Book Week is our annual Book of the Year presentations. The competition was fierce. Over the holidays I was immersed in some amazing stories and some beautifully presents picture story books. Judging these stories have been one of the hardest years to date. So stay tunes and don’t forget Friday the 25th August is the big day!
Athletics House Sports
Wednesday we saw the Grade 3 to 6 students strut their athletic abilities, while representing their house at our annual athletic house sports, and what a day! The sun was shining and ribbons were well sought after. The annual event is something we all look forward to and the vibe on the oval was one of excitement and positivity. All students had the opportunity to challenge their personal best in various events, such as: high jump, long jump, triple jump, sprints, hurdles, long distance, relays, shot put an discus. Mr Holmfield has been busy throughout the term teaching the skills and techniques required to master these events. It was a great opportunity to see so many of our students shine. What I love most about the day is the cheering, encouragement and kindness that our kids demonstrates every day!
Congratulations to our age champions!!

10 Year Old - Victoria I and Logan D
11 Year Old - Emma M and Ryder R
12 Year Old - Jorja Mc and Jerrawa M-D

The NED SHOW INCURSION
Yesterday we had Paul visit us from the NED Show. NED is a loveable cartoon character whose name is an acronym for Never give up, Encourage others and Do your best. We love that NED is simple, relatable and kid-focused. The message is portrayed through storytelling, humour, performing cool yoyo tricks and lots of student interaction. The message reinforces how easy it is to be a champion by simply following the 3 easy steps 1. Never give up
2. Encourage others
3. Do you best
Yoyo’s can be purchased from the school office at 8.30 am and again at 3pm, they will be available this Monday.
