Notizie Italiane

Buongiorno a tutti!

Welcome back to Term 3!

During Monday’s assembly, our wonderful Italian Leaders, Ellyse and Sophie, announced the winners for our Semester Italian Awards. These awards are presented based on the number of pegs students have earned over the semester in Italian classes. Pegs are given when students participate and have a go in class, and when they spontaneously use Italian.

Here are the award winners in each class for Semester One:

Prep      Ruhaan, Oscar B, Sebastian, Eloise

1/2CH    Oscar C, Jayde, Elizabeth H, Hugh

1/2RB    Veronica,  Alexander, Maddi, Ellie

3/4C      Noah D, Jeremy, Harry, Jason

3/4S      Helena, Dylan, Niamh, Juliet

5/6A      Joe, Lewis, Mietta, Amelia, Max

5/6W     Sarah, Sharni, Pete, Giulia, Georgiana

Complimenti a tutti!

This term, the weekly class who records the most uses of La parola della settimana (the Word of the Week) will receive the new ITALIA shield direct from Roma! (pictured below) to display in their classroom!

Well done to 3/4S for the most uses of “Vacanze” (meaning holidays) during the last week of Term 2.

This will be a very exciting term with our celebration of Italian Day coming up in Week 8.  We are looking forward to seeing everyone dressed up to celebrate this special day. Wear anything to do with Italy - colours (green, white and red), characters, people, food, places, landmarks… the list is endless!  So, time for students to start thinking about what to wear!

Lots of plans are currently underway to make this a fantastico day for everyone.  Details about the day will be shared later in the term.  If there are any family members who would like to be involved in any way, please contact me at the address below.

Grazie mille,

Signora Chesterman, Signorina Liv and the Italian Leaders, Sophie and Ellyse
