Trades Focus – Year 12s

Year 12s have just commenced their final term of schooling. As they endeavour to complete all their work, career options should be at the forefront of their thoughts.

Apprenticeships

Apprenticeship intake opportunities are starting to open.  Attached is the 2024 intake for Mineral Resources if you wish to apply. Some students are starting to progress through Apprenticeship applications which is great. The Trades staff are happy to guide on any of the processes that students, and parents for that matter, need to answer.

In Trades Class

Construction students can be seen cutting bricks and the Furnishings classes have been completing an intricate sub-millimetre skills exercise.

Engineering Workshop Changes

The plate rollers have been sold and made way for changes in the Metals workshop to increase resourcing to current demands in fitting and mechanical fitting. Students can be seen observing the use of the overhead gantry.

After school Metals

We are commencing these sessions next Thursday, Week 2. The class will run all term on Thursdays.
