Welcome back to Term 3

Staffing

This term there has been a few staffing changes on the Farm. 

• Mr Russell Jolly has joined us in the Dairy to replace Bronte Holmes.
• Mrs Belynda Quilty has chosen to work part-time and will be with us on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
• Mr Michael Campion and Ms Tessa Ferraro are back for another term on a part-time basis.
• Mrs Nerida Sullivan is relieving Mr Adams for Weeks 1 and 2 this term.

Farm Activities

There are several activities already planned for Term 3.  

• Year 10 and new Year 11 students will complete their First Aid Course which started this week. 
• We have an excursion planned for our Year 11 students to visit the C-Wise composting facility at North Dandalup.
• Katanning Sheep Expo and Muresk/ Dowerin Field Day excursions are happening in August. 

Finishing off the Year

As we are now in Term 3, it is important that all our Year 12 students understand what they need to achieve whilst they are on the Farm to maximise their learning opportunities and complete their Cert II or III in Agriculture.  

Our Year 11 Farm Focus students who wish to enrol in Cert III in Ag in 2024 will need to remain on task and complete their Cert II in Ag this year.

Thank you to Mitchell's Transport

I would like to acknowledge Mitchell’s Transport Waroona who transported six of our beef bulls to Muchea in June and chose not to charge the College for the cost of the transport as part of their Community Sponsorship program.  This industry support is much appreciated. 

Weekend Stock

A reminder to all students that they need to read the Weekend Stock Roster and be aware of the weekend they are rostered to.
