100 Days! That’s how many school days we have been at St Helena’s in 2023! 

Our Early Childhood classes have been busy counting the days each morning throughout the year, bundling them into groups of ten. To celebrate 100 days, classes celebrated in lots of different ways! 

In Pre-Primary, children dressed as Disney characters as Disney celebrates its 100 year anniversary this year. They went on number hunts, and looked at different collections of 100!

Our Year One children celebrated 100 days at school by writing about what they would do when they  turn 100 years old. They also did 100 exercise moves for their brain breaks and got creative turning the numerals 1 0 0 into pictures as an art activity.

In Year Two, students have been learning about the past, and to celebrate 100 days of school, they went back more than 100 years to experience what school was like in the olden days. They practised their handwriting on blackboards, and used ‘slates’ to compose texts. School sure was different 100 years ago!
