Connecting with Nature on National Tree day

Established in 1996, National Tree Day has grown into Australia's largest community tree planting and nature care event.  The program is a call to action for all Australian's to get their hands dirty and give back to their community

Peta Murphy MP - Federal Member for Dunkley visited our school for national tree planting day and along with our School Captains and Vice Captains planted a tree in our indigenous garden.

A further 50 small shrubs and grasses where donated by Frankston City Council indigenous nursery that where planted by the green thumbs inspire group.

Urban forests provide environmental, economic, social and health benefits to the community.  Every tree planted helps us to reach the 20% tree canopy cover goal for Frankston city by 2040
