Respectful Relationships Open Afternoon

It was lovely too see so many members of our community taking time to visit our classrooms last Thursday afternoon to join in with a Rights, Responsibilities and Respectful Relationships lesson. Children love to share their learning with others and were proud to work on things such as 'helping hands' of people they can turn to, coping strategies and identifying their many positive personal traits which they displayed on trees.

National Tree Planting Day

Thursday was also National Tree Planting Day. Peta Murphy, MP, visited our school to donate a Correa Alba tree, a native plant, and assisted our school captains to plant this in our Native Garden nears the Ga Ga pit. The captains enjoyed discussing the differences between being a leader and a boss with her, and shared their highlights and experiences so far as leaders of Skye Primary School. She commented on how well presented our school is and noted the improvements made to the buildings and grounds since her last visit. Congratulations captains, you represented Skye Primary School well!
