Supporting Children to Connect & Belong

This workshop will dive deeply into the most recent evidence and understanding of the developmental needs of children through the lens of neuroscience, neurobiology and psychology. It will take a look at how the brain develops, how it is wired for connection and how our stories influence that development and how best to support children in our environments. Building Coping Skills

Building Coping Skills is a FREE workshop that helps you as parents and carers to support your child or young person's resilience. My Child and Me

My Child and Me is a FREE workshop that helps you as parents and carers build an understanding of your child and their healthy development.  Our workshops are full of helpful information with a choice of simple, practical strategies that each family can adapt for their own parenting situations. Southern Deadly Dancers

Neporendi is running a dance program to put a little more rhythm into your day. This FREE after school activity is for Indigenous and non-Indigenous kids from 6-16years old. From Strength to Strength Group

A FREE 8 week group for women who have experienced relationship trauma in the past and now want to increase their personal growth and build resilience, improve their conflict management and assertiveness skills, develop healthy coping skills and make positive choices, have healthier future relationships, make hopes and dreams become reality through goal planning and live a happier and more fulfilling life.

Big Feelings

Parenting workshop. Learn play and connection techniques and how releasing emotions through tears and tantrums creates calmer, cooperative behaviour in children, helps them sleep better and helps parents to find more ease and understanding. The teenage years bring a new stage in your child's development and many changes for the whole family.  Living with Young People is a FREE workshop that helps you as parents and carers build an understanding of your teenager and their healthy development. The group page for Communities for Children Onkaparinga (CfC) is a safe and welcoming space created for families in the Onkaparinga area to connect with each other, CfC and local CfC partner services; to find information, programs, activities, events, training and other opportunities relevant to children aged 0-12yrs and their families.

Host A Play Street

Did you grow up playing with your neighbours outside on your street or verge? Would you be interested in the opportunity for children and families to play on your street together. 

Expression of Interest are now open to be part of our 1000 Play Streets project, bringing a little bit of nostalgia back to our neighbourhoods.
