St Laurence's has a whole school approach to positive behaviour. Primarily, members of our school community all have a significant role to play in supporting and promoting positive behaviour. These members include parents/carers, students and school staff. When all members of our community work together, every child has the opportunity to fully participate, engage in the process of schooling and become a successful learner.
Here are some open-ended conversation starters (but not limited to) that promote positive relationships. These may take place while eating dinner, while playing a game, while going for a walk, driving in the care, shooting hoops etc.
ie red socks, red hair band or ribbon, red hair, red hat etc
Day for Daniel is about educating children through child safety and protection initiatives
and helping empower children to ‘Recognise, React and Report’ if they feel something is
not right. #keepingkidssafe.
The school is supporting this important day by making a donation to the Daniel Morcombe Foundation on our school's behalf. If your family wishes to make your own donation you can do so at www.danielmorcombe.com.au

Prep to 2 $175

It will be a lengthy process to rebate all families, so please be patient. If you are making a payment or payments, please refer to the rebates above. For families not on a payment plan, unpaid school fee payments (less the above rebate for the grades above) would be appreciated as soon as possible.
School fees are not meant to be a burden on your family budget and we understand during COVID19, some families have been affected and are really struggling. If your family is experiencing difficulties in meeting your school fee commitment, we wish to hear from you. Please contact Liz O'Loughlin on principal@stlleongatha.catholic.edu.au as soon as possible as there are concessions available to those who need it.
CSEF payments: Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) – information provided the Department of Education and Training (DET) has been received that CSEF may also be applied against student curriculum levies where the levy has been used towards the purchase of books, stationery and other learning materials by the school on behalf of the student. Please note that these changes to CSEF payment allocation is for this year only (2020).
In summary:
Recently been allocated a HeathCare Card: If you have recently been allocated a HCC, a claim can be made on your behalf. Attached is a CSEF application form. Fill it in and send it back to school with a copy of your card as soon as possible. Holding a HCC gives you access to a considerable subsidy off your school fees. Please contact the office if you have any questions or request a hard copy of the application form.
Father, thank you for those caring for and serving our communities.
Thank you for servant leaders who daily risk
their health and safety for others.
Please protect them, Lord.
Give them courage and strength,
and let them feel Your presence as they are working.
Provide all that they need to serve others.
Send people to help and support them and their families.
Please work together with our front-liners
to bring about the best possible outcome.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.

ESPECIALLY OUR HEALTH WORKERS.
