Principal News

Jesus gave up his life and died on the cross for the sins of all human kind.

As we try to follow in Christ’s footsteps we are asked to “Take up our cross”, but what does this mean?

It means living a “Christ like” life.  In Luke’s Gospel Jesus says, "take up your cross daily" (Luke 9:23).  As Christians, we must give up our lives to God every day.  This doesn’t mean that we have to be perfect.  It does mean that we need to do our best.  To be Christ like in our daily lives, we need to find our gifts and use them to make the world we live in a better place.  One small thing that you do for someone else can have far reaching effects and may be the special moment that they need in their day.  By doing this we take small steps to live Christ like lives.

Each Saint took up their cross every day.  They took their pains and their burdens, the people who persecuted them, their hardships in life and gave them all up to God.  We need to take time in our lives every day to pray to God and give up our challenges and ask God for help and guidance.

Jesus called us to do great things and to shine like the sun by using our gifts to lead great lives with God.  Follow in the footsteps of the saints and be better every day.

The College organised a liturgy for All Saints Day and All Souls Day on Friday 30 October.

Dear Parents, Students and Friends,

Next week is third week of the 2020 HSC. We have students sitting  papers each day. They are History Extension, Physics, Spanish Beginners, Italian Beginners, Business Studies, Studies of Religion, Hospitality, Multimedia, Human Services, Retail Services, Industrial Technology Metal and Engineering. From the list you can see that our students are studying a broad range of subjects. The extent of what can be learnt in Years 11 and 12 is extensive. I have been checking with Year 12 students and staff regularly and the feedback has been positive. Please continue to keep them (and their familes) in your prayers.

Our new “Year 12” are on retreat next week at Warramburi, just outside Canberra. We were fortunate that Covid restrictions have eased and everyone can now go as planned. Please keep them in your prayers.

Happy World Teachers Day to all our Teachers, your hard work and  dedication is very much appreciated.

Peace and Best Wishes
