Welcome back to Term 4 everyone. It is especially exciting to return when we haven't been all together at school for so long. Once again I'd like to congratulate everyone - students parents and teachers for doing the best they could during remote learning. But let's hope that is all behind us now!
Our teachers have hit the ground running assessing the children's levels and focusing on how we can make the most of the remaining time at school this year. We are very confident that we will be able to make up for lost ground over the next 12 months. We are particularly focused on literacy and maths and extra time in the curriculum each week has been added to these subjects as a priority.
As many of you will be aware, there have been new cases of Covid19 in the GV overnight. Please click on the link below, read the following information from DHHS and note the regulations regarding getting tested. DHHS Shepparton Cases. The most important piece of information is that if you or anyone in the family is being tested, everyone in the household must remain at home until results have been received. I will notify parents of any updates as they come to hand.
Although the grade 3/4 students were not able to attend their camps this year, last week they took part in camp activities at school. They had great fun playing camp games, making damper, taking part in team building tasks and other fun activities. Thank you to the teachers for making the few days such a success, the kids had a ball!
I wasn't expecting such an outstanding piece of art work when I requested a holder for our school message stick. These hands were crafted from a single piece of redgum by Stephen Crowe (Phil's brother). The detail and craftsmanship is exceptional.
Each Saturday, a video of Mons Peter celebrating the Sunday mass is emailed out to families and parishioners. Click below to view last week's mass:
This week I begin a principal appraisal where a panel will look at parent, student and staff survey results to assess my performance. I greatly look forward to taking part in the process, evaluating my role and setting goals for the future.

Week 2 Zoe Maksacheff
Zoe is a very warm and welcoming young lady who is always happy to work with anyone in the classroom. She is extremely positive about her school work and is an excellent role model to other students. Well done Zoe!
