SCHOOL UNIFORM EXPECTATIONS

It is our expectation that all students will be in correct school uniform.  You can order uniform from the school office.

If you are having financial difficulty in providing correct uniform for your child please contact the office as we can provide uniform support for those families in extreme difficulty.

As the sun has started to shine and the days are warming up, it is important that our students are remembering to bring their hats and drink bottles to school each day.

We are a Sun Smart School. Hats are compulsory for outdoor play and activities in term 4.

Lunch Orders

Lunch orders started back last Thursday  the 12th of November. The students were very excited. Please ensure your child's payment is in a bag and your child's name and class name are written on it as well. As the lunch orders are outsourced, the orders will be picked up at 9.00am on Thursday. They will return the lunches at approximately 1:00pm on the same day. Late lunch order may not be filled.

Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day, we all paused for one minute’s silence at 11am.

Remembrance Day in Australia is dedicated to Australians who died as a result of war, particularly from World War I onwards. A minute of silence is dedicated to the deceased, especially for soldiers who died fighting to protect the nation. Remembrance Day is annually observed on November 11 although it is not a public holiday.

The poppy is a popular Remembrance Day symbol.

Road Safety

Road Safety It is very important that our students are safe on their way to and from school. Our parent community can help by:

 Using the road crossings located at Warburton Hwy Launching Place near the Log Cabin that are manned by School Crossing Supervisors from the Yarra ranges Council.

 Parking only in the designated spaces

 Abiding by the 40km/h school zone

 Modelling road safety in and around the community.

Student Attendance

A friendly reminder that the school day starts at 8:50am. Students arriving after 9.00am will need to go through the office to sign in on the Kiosk. Arriving on time enables students to calmly start their day and commence their learning with success. In the case where your child is unwell, please log their absence on Compass or you can call the school office.
