TRANSITION

It has been great to welcome the new Year 11 and Year 12 students into VCE Computing and Software Development. The students seemed eager to get started and we look forward to teaching them next year.

Just a reminder that there are some secondhand books available for purchase if you haven’t yet bought your textbook.

A second reminder is that holiday homework has been issued and is due by Sunday, 28 January 2018.

YEAR 7

It has been a delight to see our Year 7 students develop over the course of the year. They have learned a lot of new ICT skills throughout the year and have tackled these skills with great enthusiasm.

Having finished their last two learning tasks on Google Sheets and Computer Networks, the students had some fun time looking at Google’s Santa Tracker and Story Speaker- Santa Tracker Story Speaker.

The first is a series of coding like challenges in the form of an Advent Calendar and the second app allows the student to create interactive, talking stories that are compatible with Google Home. There might be a few families out there getting this device for Christmas so try out Story Speaker for yourself!
