100 Days of School

To celebrate 100 days of school last Tuesday, Stage 2 investigated what '100' looks like.  Students were encouraged to bring a can of food to school, and place them in groups of 10.  The target of 100 was well surpassed, with over 240 cans being donated!  The canned food has been donated to Foodbank, who distribute to needy families.

Market Garden

The next Groovy Gardeners market will be held after school next Wednesday, 16th August.

This is a wonderful opportunity for our garden club students to sell by donation our school garden produce.  We encourage you to come and check out what our students have been busy growing and help support the club by making a purchase.

We would also appreciate any produce donations to our market that you may have in excess from your own garden.  If you would like to donate produce for the stall, please deliver it to the front office by lunch time next Wednesday.

We really appreciate the school community's support.  Thank you.

Accommodation sought

A school parent is looking for a rental property, between school, child care and Uni at Magill.   If anyone from this community knows of a place which may be available, please contact the school office.

Mystery Depositor

It has happened again!  A number of deposits have been transferred into the school account without an accompanying name.  In order for our Business Manager to credit these payments to the correct family account, would the person making deposits (without a reference) please contact the office.

Woolworths Earn and Learn

Good Shepherd is participating in the Woolies Earn and Learn program.  The program began this week.

Shoppers at Woolworth supermarkets are given a sticker for each $10.00 spent in store, which in turn can be collected and placed on a sticker sheet.   Individual stickers or completed sheets are being collected by the school via a box in the front office.

Please note that participation in this program is optional.  We do not wish to persuade families to change their shopping habits for this purpose.

Amazing Me - Facts of Life for Primary Kids

AMAZING ME education seminars will be held on Wednesday 20th September in the church.

The first talk will focus on the difference between girls and boys bodies, reproduction and birth (6-6.50pm).

The second talk (7-8pm) will focus on the difference between girls and boys bodies and puberty.

All presentations are given in an age appropriate manner.

Children must be accompanied by one of their parents as the evening seeks to encourage parent and child discussion.  Whilst not compulsory, it is highly recommended that all parents take up this opportunity.
