Here we are at the end of a very busy time of year.  Congratulations to all students who have been involved in our many performances throughout the term.

Congratulations to the Senior Band for their participation in the Victorian Schools Music Festival in Week 8.  This group was awarded a Silver placement in the Intermediate Concert Band section.  Well done!

Term 4 is shaping up to be another busy term.  Please check the following performance dates and ask your students if they are involved in any of these performances.

Term 4  Music Performances

Week 3 – VCE Performance Assessment  on Wednesday 23 October, 6:30pm – 7:30pm

Week 4 – Arts Week & Spring Concert on Thursday 31 October, 7:00pm – 9:00pm

Week 9 – Extended Rehearsal Day on Monday 2 December

                – Presentation Evening on Wednesday 4 December

Term 4 Instrumental Lessons 

Of course, it is not too late to enrol in music lessons for the remainder of the year.  This is a great opportunity for your child to have a go on learning an instrument for a few weeks to see if they like it or not.  Enrolment forms are available at the College office.

Absent from instrumental lessons

Just a quick reminder for parents, if your child is absent from school due to illness, you need to contact Mrs Sim or Mrs Richards prior to 8:15am in the morning. Otherwise, you will be charged for the lesson.  If your child is absent for an appointment or a school event, 48 hours notice is needed so that the music timetable can be adjusted.  Catch up lessons cannot be guaranteed if inadequate notification is given.
