Favourite subject: My favourite subject is Psychology as I find it fascinating to learn about human behaviour and mental processes that explain how we function in our daily lives.

Favourite moment at the College: My favourite moment here is experiencing Brigidine Day and having the opportunity to become closer as a school and celebrate the values of the College.

Favourite College value: My favourite College value is Hospitality and being able to 'Welcome all'. This is my favourite value in the College as the College promotes an inclusive and positive environment through welcoming all and valuing everyone regardless of differences.

Carla Zampaglione

Year 11

What Primary School did you attend?  Stella Maris Primary School, Beaumaris.

What is your favourite subject at school and why?  I really enjoy both Biology and Art. Biology is an exciting subject for me as it is the ‘science of life’, and I love how I am able to gain new knowledge about the world we live in. With Art, it is a way that I am able to express my creativity and it exposes me to a range of new concepts and ideologies.

What is your favourite moment at Kilbreda College?  I really enjoyed the House Swimming Carnival in Year 9. It was a really fun day for my friends and I and I loved seeing all the Year 12 students dressed in their crazy costumes.

What is your favourite College value and why?  My favourite College value is Justice. I believe that it is so important that we learn to treat everyone with equity and respect, as well as helping the marginalised receive fair treatment. This is important in ensuring that every person in our community can have equal opportunities.

What are your hopes for the future? As I am starting my VCE studies this year, I am hoping that I am able achieve results that I am proud of and to do my best in my exams. I also hope to eventually fulfil my dreams in pursuing a career in marine biology or medicine.

Claudia Vannutini

Year 10

What Primary School did you attend?  I attended Our Lady of the Assumption Primary School, Cheltenham.

What is your favourite subject at school and why? My favourite subject at school would be Science as it’s something I enjoy, find interesting and accelerate in. I like that the subject includes both practical and theory work and provides the opportunity to work with my peers in a way that is different from other subjects.

What is your favourite moment at Kilbreda College? My favourite moment at Kilbreda College would be Brigidine Day, as it’s a time where all the year levels get to work together and celebrate as a whole. It’s lots of fun and a great chance for students to get involved and raise money as a community.

What is your favourite College value and why? My favourite College value would be Hope, as it was the value being practised when I first came to Kilbreda. Hope is about bringing 'a sense of purpose', and it’s a value that I constantly practise in all that I do.

What are your hopes for the future?  In the future, I hope to be just as driven and hardworking as I am currently. I hope to continue actively participating in school life and leadership and aim to inspire younger students to do the same during their time at our College. I have no idea what I want to do after graduating, but until then, I hope to enjoy myself and make the most of every opportunity that comes my way!
