VCE Art

Unlike last year, VCE Art students have had real rather than virtual experiences when visiting galleries. Recently they visited the National Gallery of Victoria’s 'Triennial' exhibition. All levels of the gallery were filled with contemporary artworks that were woven through the traditional gallery spaces. For the students it was a vibrant learning environment where they all experienced art that has a direct relevance to the content of their courses.

We were amazed at the enormous scale of most artworks and the thought-provoking content of the works. The broad range of themes, materials and technologies of the artworks has been a source of immense inspiration for the folios and theory work of the students.

VCE Visual Arts

Back at the College, the Year 11 and 12 Visual Arts students have been working diligently on their design process and creative folio developments. We are looking forward to some exciting work over the next few months!
