Anti-bullying

Anti-Bullying

Bullying can be a real and serious issue in our schools. It can happen to anyone, anywhere, anytime, and can have devastating consequences.

Bully Stoppers is a Victorian Department of Education initiative that calls on everyone in every school community to help prevent and respond to bullying.

Bully Stoppers supports teachers, principals, parents and students in working together to help put a stop to bullying. There are tonnes of resources available to students and parents/carers on their website.

BULLYING. NO WAY!

Bullying. No Way! has produced a range of handy fact sheets for schools, families and the public. There are a complete collection of fact sheets found on various pages across the site.

E-SAFETY

E-Safety has produced a range of resources for schools and families focussing on different topics.

Anti-bullying survey

As we move towards the end of term 1, we hope that students are feeling settled and happy with the progress their making with their learning. A primary focus at the College is student safety. To achieve this, we run a range of anti-bullying initiatives during the course of the year.

Something we do near the start of each semester, is send out a Bullying, Learning and Culture Survey for students to complete. This survey will be sent out to individual year levels in the coming weeks and is set up so students can tell us if there is anyone who is negatively impacting their learning or sense of safety at school. The Bullying and Learning Survey can be completed anonymously, so we hope all students will take the time to complete it if they need to make us aware of anti-social behaviour they have noticed.

This is not dobbing. It is in fact a simple way for students to make us aware of negative behaviours that sometimes go unnoticed. Please speak to your child about the importance of being an upstander and sharing relevant information in this important survey. We take all instances of bullying or antisocial behaviour seriously, but if we don't know it is happening we can't do anything to help.
